Canada’s Got Talent Coming in 2022!

Canada’s Got Talent is Back!

The return of Canada’s Got Talent will finally take place next year after ten long years. There was originally one season of the show on City TV before it was cancelled.

Economic conditions forced the cancellation of the ‘Got Talent’ show in 2012. McGillivray Entertainment Media Inc. and Fremantle are partners for the upcoming season.

Canadian reality talent show Canada’s Got Talent debuted on the City TV network on March 4, 2012. Canada’s Got Talent is a part of the Got Talent franchise globally.

After more than a decade off the air, Simon Cowell’s hit talent show makes its triumphant return to City TV, owned by Rogers Sports & Media. On City TV, “Canada’s Got Talent” aired just one season back in 2012. It was judged by Canadians comedian and actor Martin Short, opera singer Measha Brueggergosman, and musican/composer Stephan Moccio.

A new season of Canada’s Got Talent will premiere in spring 2022, with filming beginning in the fall at Niagara Falls. Production of the talent contest is being co-produced by Fremantle and Cowell’s Syco Entertainment.

History

Got Talent iGot Talent is a British talent show TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell’s SYCOtv company. Unlike those shows, Got Talent showcases several artistic disciplines in addition to singing. In April 2014, the format was named the world’s most successful reality TV format ever by Guinness World Records beating Dancing with the Stars for the title.
